WOBBLER ROOM
In our Wobbler the children are aged one year and over. Our Wobbler Room is a bright airy room which gives our children plenty of space to explore and develop. This room is structured at child’s level with age appropriate toys/ equipment to stimulate and entertain even the busiest wobbler. Equipment is rotated regularly and to meet the developmental needs of the children. Their routine consists of sessions of songs and rhymes, art, table top activities and free play. The room is broken up into different sections to stimulate all of the senses e.g. Home corner where children can role play with kitchen equipment, construction area includes bricks and a work bench to encourage gross motor skill, cosy corner which includes a soft mat and cushions if a child merely wants some peace and quiet to look at a book! We also have a separate sleep room for children who may need a sleep and separate “rumpus” room with soft block for the children to explore. Fresh air and the outdoor environment is so important to a child’s development and our wobbler room opens out to their own designated space with age appropriate equipment for them to enjoy and practice the gross motor skills.
